This
in translated version of Terms of Use. If there is any difference in
interpretation, the Korean version of the Terms of Use shall prevail over this
translated version.
The Korean version of the Terms of Use
Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose and Definitions)
① The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate the rights, obligations,
and responsibilities of the tax & accounting office Haeon (hereinafter
referred to as the "Office") and its members regarding the use of the
online internet services (hereinafter referred to as the "Services,"
which means all "Services" provided by the "Office" that
can be accessed regardless of the type of wired or wireless terminal) provided
by the Office when users become members and use them.
② User: A user refers to a member or non-member who accesses the Office's
website and uses the services provided by the Office in accordance with these
Terms.
③ Member: A member refers to a person who has agreed to these Terms,
provided personal information to the Office, and completed the membership
registration process. Members continuously receive information from the Office's
website and can continuously use the services provided on the website.
④ Non-member: A non-member refers to a person who uses the services
provided by the Office without becoming a member.
Article
2 (Disclosure, Effectiveness, and Amendment of the Terms)
① The Office shall post the contents of these Terms on the homepage
so that members can easily access them.
② The Office may amend these Terms to the extent that they do not
violate relevant laws, such as the Act on the Development of Online Digital
Content Industries, the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce,
etc., the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, and the Framework Act
on Consumers.
③ If the Office amends the Terms, the amended Terms shall become
effective from the time of public notice, and users shall be deemed to have
agreed to the amended Terms by continuing to use the Services after the
amendment.
Chapter 2 Membership Registration and Management
Article 3 (Membership Registration)
① Users shall apply for membership by entering their membership
information in the prescribed form and expressing their intention to agree to
these Terms and other regulations.
② The membership registration contract shall become effective when
the Office's acceptance reaches the member.
③ If any of the information provided during the membership
registration process changes, the member shall update the information online or
notify the Office of the changes via email or other means.
④ The Office shall not be responsible for any disadvantages arising
from the member's failure to notify the Office of the changes as per Paragraph
3.
⑤ Membership registration must be done with the user's true
information, and the Office may verify the information provided by the member.
Members shall actively cooperate with the Office's verification process, and if
they fail to do so, the Office may treat the information provided by the member
as invalid.
⑥ The Office may classify members into different levels and
differentiate the usage time, usage frequency, service menus, etc.
⑦ When registering as an email member, the account information must
include the user's valid email address. If the user fails to receive the Office's
information and service-related information due to entering an invalid email
address intentionally or unintentionally, the responsibility lies with the
user.
Article 4 (Establishment, Suspension and Rejection of Membership
Registration)
① Membership registration is established through the user's
membership application in accordance with the procedures set forth in Article 3
and the Office's acceptance of the membership registration. The Office shall
accept the membership after verifying the required information if the
membership applicant has faithfully entered the required information and
completed the application process. However, this is an exception if additional
documents are required besides submitting the membership application form.
② The Office may suspend the acceptance of membership registration in
any of the following cases:
1.
If there is no realistic capacity available in the service facilities
2.
If there are technical issues in providing the service
3.
If the Office deems it necessary for financial or technical reasons
③ The Office may reject membership registration in any of the
following cases:
1.
If the registration information contains false statements, omissions, or errors
2.
If the applicant has previously lost membership status (except when the
applicant obtains the Office's approval for re-registration after losing
membership status, as deemed necessary by the Office)
3.
If a member whose membership has been suspended by the Office voluntarily
terminates the contract during the suspension period and reapplies for
membership
4.
If a child under 14 years of age applies without consent from their parent or
legal guardian regarding the provision of personal information
5.
If a former member whose contract was terminated by the Office pursuant to
Article 12 reapplies for membership
6.
If there is a risk of violating social order or good public morals based on
relevant laws and regulations
7.
If the membership application violates these Terms, is illegal, or is deemed
inappropriate by the Office's reasonable judgment
Article 5 (Responsibility for Managing Member ID, etc.)
① Members are responsible for managing their member ID and password
for using the service, as well as any disadvantages arising from the
unauthorized use of their ID by a third party due to the member's intentional
or negligent acts.
② If a member's ID, password, or additional information is stolen or
being used by a third party, the member must immediately take necessary
actions, such as changing their password, and promptly notify the Office and
follow the Office's instructions.
Article 6 (Collection of Personal Information)
The
Office collects necessary personal information from members in accordance with
relevant laws and regulations to provide the services:
1.
Date of birth, residential area, and contact information
2.
Mailing/prize-receiving address, hobbies, interests, etc.
3.
Preferences for receiving newsletters for each service
4.
Other information recognized by the Office
Article 7 (Changes to Member Information)
If
there are any changes to the member information provided to the Office, the
member shall promptly update the information on the member information
management page.
The
Office shall not be responsible for any damages arising from the member's
failure to update their information.
Chapter 3 Use of Services
Article 8 (Use of Services)
① The services can be used immediately after the Office's acceptance
of service usage.
② If a minor member uses a paid service, the minor member must obtain
consent from their legal guardian before making the payment.
③ In principle, the service hours are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
(00:00-24:00), except in cases where it is impossible for the Office due to
business or technical reasons. However, the Office may divide the service into
specific ranges and set separate dates and times for reasons such as regular
maintenance of service facilities.
Article 9 (Notification of Service Content Changes, etc.)
① If the service content changes or the service is terminated due to
reasons such as the termination of a contract with a CP (Contents Provider)
contracted by the Office for service provision, changes in the CP, or the
launch of a new service, the Office may notify the members of the changes or
termination via email to the registered email addresses.
② In the case of notifying an unspecified number of people as per the
preceding paragraph, the Office may notify the members through its website.
Article 10 (Restriction and Suspension of Service Usage)
① The Office may restrict or suspend a member's use of the service in
any of the following cases:
1.
If the member intentionally or negligently interferes with the operation of the
Office's service
2.
If the member violates the obligations set forth in Article 12
3.
If it is unavoidable due to inspection, repair, or construction of service
facilities
4.
If the telecommunications service provider as defined in the Telecommunications
Business Act suspends telecommunication services
5.
If there is a national emergency, a failure in the service facilities, or an
overload of service usage, hindering the service usage
6.
If there are other significant reasons that make it inappropriate for the Office
to continue providing the service
Article 11 (Obligations of the Office)
① The Office shall faithfully take measures such as maintenance,
inspection, or recovery to ensure that the facilities related to the provision
and security of the Office's services are suitable for providing continuous and
stable services.
② The Office shall not send commercial advertising emails, SMS text
messages, etc., for profit-making purposes to members who have not consented to
receive them.
③ The Office shall not disclose or distribute members' personal
information obtained in relation to the provision of services to a third party
without the members' consent and shall make efforts to protect such
information. Other matters concerning the protection of members' personal
information shall be governed by the Act on Promotion of Information and
Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. and the
"Personal Information Management Guidelines" separately established
by the Office.
④ If the Office provides services to members by entering into a
service provision contract with a third party, the Office shall specify the
members' specific personal information to be provided to the third party for
the provision of each individual service, obtain the members' individual and
explicit consent, and comply with relevant laws by sharing the members'
personal information with the third party only within the scope of the consent
during the period of providing the relevant service.
Article 12 (Obligations of Members)
① Members shall not engage in any of the following acts:
1.
Registering false information when applying for or changing membership
2.
Modifying information posted on the Office's services or using information
obtained through the services for reproduction, publication, broadcasting,
etc., for commercial or non-commercial purposes or providing it to a third
party without prior consent from the Office
3.
Receiving money or transferring the right to use the service in exchange for
money by providing opportunities for self-promotion or acting as an agent for
promoting a third party while using the services provided by the Office
4.
Posting false information about the Office or a third party or infringing upon
the rights of the Office or a third party, such as violating intellectual
property rights
5.
Using another member's ID and password without permission to improperly use the
services
6.
Using another person's payment information, such as their account number or
credit card number, without permission to use the Office's paid services
7.
Sending junk mail, spam mail, chain letters, mail soliciting participation in
pyramid schemes, or mail containing obscene, violent messages, images, or
sounds, or otherwise disclosing or posting information that violates public
order and good morals
8.
Transmitting or posting information (including computer programs) prohibited
from being transmitted or posted by laws such as the Act on Promotion of
Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection,
etc.
9.
Posting media materials harmful to juveniles as defined by the Juvenile
Protection Act
10.
Distributing information, sentences, figures, sounds, etc., that violate public
order or good morals
11.
Impersonating or assuming the identity of the Office's employees, service
administrators, or others to post writings or send emails
12.
Posting or sending emails containing computer software viruses, other computer
codes, files, or programs designed to interfere with or destroy the normal
operation of computer software, hardware, or telecommunication equipment
13.
Engaging in actions that interfere with other members' use of the service, such
as stalking, verbal abuse, or chat flooding
14.
Collecting, storing, or disclosing other members' personal information without
their consent
15.
Using the Office's premium mail or other services for commercial activities
with the purpose of posting advertisements or promotional materials to an
unspecified number of members or sending spam emails
16.
Modifying, reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the software
provided by the Office
17.
Violating current laws, terms and conditions stipulated by the Office for the
provided services, or other regulations regarding service usage
② If a member engages in the acts specified in Paragraph 1, the Office
may delete or temporarily delete the relevant posts, limit the member's use of
the service, or unilaterally terminate this contract.
③ If the services provided by the Office require adult authentication
in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, members must provide their
real-name information to the Office in the manner prescribed by the Office to
use the relevant service.
Article 13 (Prohibition of Transfer)
Members'
rights to receive services cannot be transferred, gifted, or used as
collateral.
Article 14 (Termination of the Service Contract)
① If a member wishes to terminate the service contract, they may
delete their ID and withdraw from the membership at any time by following the
procedures prescribed by the Office in the member information management
section.
② If a member violates the provisions of Article 12, the Office may
unilaterally terminate this contract and hold the member civilly and criminally
liable for any damages caused to the operation of the service.
③ If a member does not log in to the Office's service for a
consecutive period of one (1) year while using the service, the Office may
revoke the member's membership status.
Chapter 4 Compensation for Damages and Other Matters
Article 15 (Compensation for Damages)
1.
If the Office or a user intentionally or negligently causes damage to the other
party in relation to the use of the service, the responsible party shall
compensate for the damage.
2.
However, the Office shall not be responsible for any damages related to the use
of services provided free of charge, unless it violates the provisions of the
personal information protection policy.
3.
The Office does not guarantee the reliability, accuracy, etc., of information,
materials, or facts posted on the service through the Office's provision or
members' creation, and shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users
due to such information.
Article 16 (Dispute Resolution)
These
Terms shall be governed and enforced by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and
any disputes arising between the Office and members concerning the use of the
service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction
over the address specified in the Civil Procedure Act.
Article 17 (Application of Regulations)
Matters
not specified in these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws, and matters
not specified in the laws shall be governed by customs.
Supplementary Provisions
Article
1 (Effective Date)
These
Terms shall take effect from January 1, 2024.
